Mission Statement
The Kentucky National Guard Public Affairs Office will publicize the activities of the Kentucky National Guard in order to maintain and increase public awareness, understanding and support of the Kentucky National Guard in its various federal and state roles and missions.
Public Affairs is divided into three areas:

Public Information |
 |
- Responds to all queries from local, regional or national news media.
- Arranges for news media to visit or travel with Guard units.
- Generates broadcast and print products about Guard activity, events and programs.

Command Information |

- Provides Kentucky National Guard members and their Families, employers and communities with timely, factual information about the Kentucky National Guard, its missions, programs and benefits.
- Provides support for historical archive.
- Provides support for graphic designs.
- Assists with the planning and executing of special events for Guard units and agencies.

Community Relations |
|
- Coordinates support of public activities and events including: parades, military flyovers, static displays, air shows and open houses.
- Coordinates the use of equipment and personnel for the support of youth groups and air shows.
- Coordinates airlifts and orientation flights for Civic Leaders, Very Important Persons and the news media.
- Works in close relationship with the 133rd Mobile Public Affairs Detachment and the SGS.
